K&N's 69-2004TTK Performance Air Intake System for the 2007-2008 Mini Cooper S 1.6L Turbo
At first glance calling the 2007 Mini Cooper “All New” may seem like a ruse. Upon closer inspection the surprisingly significant changes make themselves better known. While European pedestrian impact standards dictated minor changes to exterior dimensions, the biggest surprise comes from under the hood. A lot of investment was made into new engines for the Mini Cooper. An all-new turbocharged 1.6-liter engine powers the Cooper S. The new turbocharged engine offers a nice bump in both horsepower and torque over the previous generation Cooper S. Nevertheless, K&N engineers took one look at the car and decided that more could be done.
That’s exactly what K&N did with Performance Air Intake System 69-2004TTK. Great consideration was put into the design of part number 69-2004TTK. Exclusive features include a stepped intake tube to eliminate the need for special adapters while improving air delivery. The location of the step was carefully tuned to provide greater increases in power. Additionally, a special angled silicone adapter was created to maintain the factory location of the stock crankcase vent hose. 69-2004TTK incorporates a highly unique heat shield that bolts to the bottom half of the factory air box. This retains the original cold air induction keeping inlet air temperature within factory specifications. The result of this hard work and dedication is an extra 11 horsepower at the wheels for the 2007 to 2008 Mini Cooper S. Read More→
Add 6.14 HP to Dodge Dakota with K&N Air Intake System
Posted by: | CommentsThe Mitsubishi Raider has aggressive styling and is the brand’s only pickup truck. However, under the Raider’s eye-catching fenders is essentially a midsize Dodge Dakota pickup. Both have good towing capacity and handle well on the road.

K&N's 77-1558KP air intake system for 2008, 2007 Mitsubishi Raider with a 3.7 liter engine and 2008, 2007 Dodge Dakota with a 3.7 liter engine
K&N has designed a new polished aluminum high flow air intake system (77-1558KP) for the 3.7 liter engines of the 2008 Dodge Dakota, the 2007 Dodge Dakota, the 2008 Mitsubishi Raider, and the 2007 Mitsubishi Raider.
Dynamometer tests show a 6.14 horsepower gain at 4200 RPM. K&N’s air intake design has lower restriction than the factory air box system. K&N removed the intake plenum to help smooth the air entering the throttle body.
The 77-1558KP uses a conical shaped chrome top high flow air filter (RF-1048), and a powder coated heat shield in place of the vehicle’s stock airbox. The extra large heat shield directs incoming fresh air from the factory air inlet into the air filter, isolates the K&N air filter from the engine compartment and allows it to receive a consistent flow of fresh air.

Ford Fusion Receives Horsepower Increase Worthy of the Stock Car Racing Circuit
Posted by: | CommentsStock Car racing fans are familiar with Ford’s current contender on the oval track. While the Fusion that rolls off the assembly line probably won’t find it’s way on to the track, its racing pedigree can’t be denied. Porsche’s Street-Legal Race Car Receives a Massive 24 Horsepower Increase with K&N

Not since 1973 has Porsche’s legendary RS name plate been available in the U.S. market. In 2007 the 911 GT3 RS hit American soil once again, creating much excitement among racing enthusiasts. The 911 GT3 RS has been described as a street-legal racecar intended as a homologation model for a range of racing series. Wearing a celebrated name like Porsche means the 2007 GT3 RS won’t disappoint and neither will K&N’s Performance Air Intake System, part number 63-7001.
K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten airflow. This allows your vehicle’s engine to use a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it. With a K&N Performance Air Intake System, consumers can count on extra horsepower whether driving down the Las Vegas strip, or twisting through the famous “Corkscrew” at Laguna Seca.
The 2007 GT3 incorporates ultra lightweight materials throughout. Keeping with the carbon fiber theme, the 63-7001 air intake system uses a conical shaped, carbon fiber top, high-flow air filter (RP-5167) and powder coated two-piece aluminum heat shield in place of the vehicle’s stock air box. The result is an air filter that captures harmful particles, flows more air, and increases service life. This K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required depending on driving conditions. Improving the air path between the filter and the engine is the rotationally molded high-density polyethylene tube. It offers the most flexibility in design and outstanding horsepower numbers. 63-7001 takes about 90 minutes or less to install, with no cutting or drilling, and is covered by K&N’s Million Mile Limited Warranty™
For increased protection and style, K&N includes Drycharger® filter wrap part number RF-1037DK with this air intake. Drycharger® filter wraps are made from a durable polyester material containing uniform micron openings which will stop small dirt particles and repel water; yet add little restriction to the airflow of your filter.
